Default ITR/CTR Cam Gains [Searched]

Just seein if anybody has dyno's of their cars before and after installing ITR or CTR cams to see what kind of gains I can expect to see.

Please post if you are using an OEM bottom end only please. (GSR, ITR, CTR, P30, 81mm, 81.25mm Etc)

and if an insightful user out there can guesstimate (I know ht is usually against this sort of thing but idc) what kind of gains I can expect to see with my setup would be:

Thanks!

Check the dyno thread, there should be lots of posts with CTR/ITR as those are popular cams.

I was just discussing this in another thread. The ITR/CTR cams used to be a great option for mild builds but things have evolved to the point that there are a number of cheap alternatives that will give you a much better performance increase for roughly the same money. Used BC3+, Blox Bs or Cs, Skunk2 tuner series cams, etc. are all often available for around $300. I just found a set of HSLs new in the box (clearance sale) for $300 and they will FAR outperform CTR cams.

You really need to upgrade the valve springs anyway, so that cost is same no matter what you chose. And, if you go with aftermarket (Supertech, etc) springs instead of OEM ITR, you have a vast array of choices available that are bigger than the CTR cams.

Best of luck with your project.

Thank you very much. I might actually just save up a couple hundred more dollars and do just that. Why not go all out if go at all right?

Not to threadjack but I too have been searching but haven't found much here comparing ITR/CTR cams to say something mild like the Skunk2 tuner stage 1. I have a '01 spec b18c5 and am trying to figure out if I would see worthwhile gains with mild aftermarket cams and my stock ITR valvetrain. Otherwise I'll go with Pro1s and spend the cash on valvesprings/retainers. My head has been milled by King Motorsports and I am told my cr is about 11.6:1. I do not need a ton more power as I don't race. I just like to "wring it out" every now and then to adjust my attitude when needed.
