Just wondering if anyone is running an apexi turbo in their car, and how they like it?

 

Are you talking about the SOHC turbo kit?

 

I'm running the Apex kit on my 94 Si (D16Z6) and I love it. I mean LOVE it. I've run the greddy kit which is the TD04 and the Apex kit spools as fast, holds boost better and breaths MUCH better at higher revs.

The ball bear IHI turbo is a beauty. The oil send and return lines are also much better than greddy's and I don't have a single leak. I'm using the greddy blue box right now with 6 psi non-intercooled and it pulls slightly less then 10psi intercooled with an eclipse sidemount. Thats' saying something. I can't wait to get an FMIC and up the boost!

If you can get a good price on one, buy it. You'll love the quality.

 

ya im talking about the sohc kit, i cant find one or they dont make one that is designed for a b16a motor but ive heard that with barely any modifications you can make it fit, so im not sure if somepeople are running it on a dohc or what.

 

I love mine it makes good power and spools fast

Their kit looks to be the best on the market for the almighty SOHC.

 

i'm getting mine next month....better quality, fit, and over all performance w/ the Apexi compared to the GReddy...but it cost about 600-700 more.

To the guy's whom have the kit already.. what is you overall impression of the kit?

Currently how much psi you running, have you dyno/tuned the car?
Reason being I am looking going w/ the apexi kit for my 00 EX or doing a custom setup w/ a T3 Super60..

From what I read and told to other ppl online whom have the kit they seem to like it alot.

the turbo that comes with this kit is the P18 correct? will that work with the HKS manifold for the Bseries? I know that you can use the HKS manifold for the Greddy sohc vtec 15G turbo but not sure if you can with this turbo.

*will this turbo bolt up to the HKS b-series manifold?
*how much is the kit?
*does it come with the apexi BOV?
*does it come complete with intecooler?

if you got a b-series...they have the b-series one in japan i heard and i saw you could buy it on this one japanese website kinna like how you can buy those apexi el series ii gauges only in japan type thing.

i bet the b-series one will kick *** just like the d series one.

yup..but you can adjust it real easy...so far no boost creep for me at 5-6 lbs...prolly won't happen unless you run like 10+ i assume.
