The Aeromotive controller works different. It depends on what you're trying to do....

keep the a1000 from heating up. i was told if i plan on running this pump for the street i would have to run the pump controller to keep it from heating up/burning the pump up.

yes the BAP will work with those pumps. if you wanted to use the controller im sure it would go, Controller, BAP, Pump in that order of wiring.

Ahhh. I thought you were trying to increase pump voltage.... my bad. I ASSumed. lol

I have an Aeromotive that I am not using anymore (basically brand new). If you're interested PM me. I'll let it go cheap!

basically the bap has a hobbs switch installed in line and when a determined boost is reached, it kicks the voltage to the pump up (16v+-?) i cant remember.

personally, thats another thing to go wrong.

when i worked at evo they swear by them, and on the stangs they worked well. but me, if you are going to run the aeromotive in the street, id run the aeromotive controller.

i have never run a large pump on the street so i cant give you 100% input on that. just my exp using baps.

fwiw, all the baps installed by evo, we bypass the the hobbs switch anyway. the sct software has a fuel pump driver paramater that controls that. with the big kenne bells, the boost is instantaneous, and sometimes the fuel is a little laggy, so it is always on and there when needed.

I would definately use an electrinic trigger as well. Pressure can take time to build and it may already be too late.

Make the trigger come earlier, way before the engine maxes out the pump at standard 13.5 volts, then you won't run into the issue.

I have mine set by engine RPM anyway, using an RPM switch.

with the shelbys it is on all the time, the fuel pump driver modules can also drive the fuel pumps up. the voltage is always there. the "duty" on the driver modules is what is altered.

Use the kenne bell boost-a-pump. I love them. Set it up to an output on the ecu so that it will only be active when needed.

Can be done on ECTune, Neptune, or any EMS that has a configrable output (switch to GND).
