Default 98 Prelude intake manifold removal

I'm trying to remove the intake manifold of a 98 prelude. Wondering you guys have any suggestions, pictures in how to remove it. I'm doing it so I can clean the passages for the EGR. Thanks

Is there a part you are having trouble getting off or are you just looking for general suggestions before you start? It's pretty straightforward. You disconnect all connectors (label both sides first with masking tape), the fuel line to the rail, the EGR, the intake, the throttle cable, the coolant lines to the idle valve(s), some of the vacuum lines and then unbolt the support underneath from the IM and the Im from the head. There might be something else to disconnect I didn't mention but that's most of it. Cover the head's intake ports with 2" masking tape to keep dust out while the IM is off and you can do the same on the IM. Plug the fuel line. There's some debate on whether any sealant should be used on the IM gasket. If you use any, it has to be able to withstand the fuel spray like permatex aviation sealant.

Mainly because I need to clean the ports for the EGR. I have never taking a prelude intake manifold out. It seems like there is no room to remover the bottom bolts. Mainly looking for easy suggestions on how to. Thank You

The support bolts or the bottom IM-to-head nuts? What is in the way when you try to remove them? AFAIK a closed-end box wrench can get any that a ratchet can't.

Trying to remove the manifold bolts, that hold the manifold to the head. Thanks

Yeah those are nuts and the studs will hold the IM on while you take them off. If you still can't get one off, post which one and what's in your way.

Hey Guys,
I'm looking for some advice. I need to remove my intake manifold as I got a leak through the intake manifold gasket. I spent the weekend on it, but I can't get one nut off because I can't figure out how to access it. It's the second nut from the drivers side. I got a 97 prelude SH. The problem I'm having is that there's a plastic conduit with a harness running through it. The harness is bolted to the manifold on the driver side of the manifold and then underneath with a bold that I can't get from the bottom because there's too many things in the way. Any advice? I'm starting to consider of pulling the engine, but I want to check if there's something I'm missing.
