Vtec point changes and cuts out?
alright. so my car has been runnin fine but today when i had my stock ecu in, the exhaust kicked at 4500 as usual but at 6 it would start to crossover then it would sound like it cut out then at 7k quick in and it would pull again...not so much falling on it's face but rather just falling out of vtec and back in.
I then swapped ecu's to a p28 (i have skunk2 intake mani) and i have my vtec set for single stage at 5300. It would either not kick in until like 6k or it would kick in at 5300 and stumble around between 6k and 7k again.
Anyone have any ideas on what's up. please help. i appreciate it.
2000 gsr with jdm swap. intake, intake mani, full exhaust.

pull off your vtec solonoid make sure theres no crap in it.. take a look at the gasket as well, make sure its sealing tight..
Low oil pressure/level could cause it, also check wires for the solonoid
