Possible problem w/AITV or IACV
I've searched and can't find the info I'm looking for. I've got a '91 b18a1 in a '90 CRX. I'm trying to find out when the two idle bypass holes in the TB should be sucking air. Mine works like this:
At cold idle the top and the bottom holes suck a large amount of air.
When warm the top one sucks a large amount of air, about the same as when cold, regardless of the amount of accessories that are turned on. I know this one controls idle speed to compensate for the accessories.
When warm the bottom one sucks very little, so little that when I plug it the idle is not affected. Does all this sound normal? The car runs very well when cold. But after warmed up I get a bad bog from idle to about 3000 rpm. Any help is appreciated. I've done all the vacuum leak checks and set the tps and set the idle speed using a tech article from here.
Thanks in advance,
TJ
