running a p28 ecu on a 95 accord ex...
i was just wondering if i could run a p28 i have layin around from my old civic ex on
my new accord ex...the accord's ecu is all messed up cuz the guy had a 'vtec controller'
and i guess it messed stuff all up...but question is can i run the p28 without any cel gettin thrown
or problems drivin...thanks!

what about running a p13 h22 ecu, would that work fine for me? having vtec at 5,200
and redline 7,800...
-or should i just call the guys at phearable.net up and get a chipped p28?

You have to run the correct ECU for the motor, there's no magical way of getting around that other than chipping it and running a different motor's basemap.
k, well do u know where vtec engages, i have searched and cannot find the rpm engagement
point for an f22b1....and the stock redline, whats is that?

vtec engages usually between 2,500 and 4k rpms. Redline is at 6,250 & the rev limiter is about 6,500 rpms (some people say theirs is at 7K stock.) The f22b1 was built to be a grocery getting fuel efficient motor so it won't have the 550 Vtec /7k rev limiter like the H22 or the F20B

on the f22b1? would gettin a chipped ecu and making vtec later and the rev limit
a bit higher help performance wise or should i just stick with the stock ecu...cuz i dont
wanna be in vtec just cruisin around lol
dang, so vtec is not meant to be a "power adder" but more for efficiency

No, not one that you would gain anything from....
If you have no mods the P28 is overkill and useless. You're better off selling it and using the money for other things.

between cai vs sri and 421 header vs 4-1 header......for this particular engine, f22b1, what would u say is better
for intake and header options?
CAI is always better than SRI in terms of power making but comes with the risk of hydro-locking the motor which I've seen first hand with a roommate.
The F22 really does not respond as well as some other motors to I/H/E modifications so what you get is what you are up for. I had a $30 eBay header on my H22A without any major issues.
