Default Car Heatin Up WHY?

The car has a water leak behind the engine I fill up the Radiator once a day and by the end of the day coming back from work when i Stop in a red light it starts to heat up slow
when I go it cools back down. You guys think its the water pump or thermostat. Ima check for broken hoses later just wanted to find out if any of you guys had this problem before and how did you solve it.

you are overheating because you have a coolant leak. fix the leak, refill with coolant and bleed the system.

your cooling system is a closed, pressurized system. it cannot function properly with a leak.

The thermostat housing and water pump are in two very different places. If your water pump was that bad you would probably be hearing nasty sounds coming from it.

if you fix the leaks and replace the thermostat and it still overheats...its the water pump. i had a single cam once that did something like this and i replaced every hose on it and it kept doing it at random times. sold the motor to a friend and he replaced the water pump and bamm done...no more overheating. lol i really didnt wanna break into the water pump anyway. but the reason its overheating now is because of the leak. fix it. hoses are cheap.

you can also check if your radiator is coming on at the right temp too. if its not then your fan switch can be going bad.
