i have a b16a with a p28 ecu. im throwing my map sensor and tps code.
i am only able to rev up if i pull my plug off the map. just replaced tps after all this happend cause the plug looked faulty. and re-calibrated it.
tested them both for there voltage going in and return and they are perfect.
sill throwing code! tryed a different ecu. ran the same was gonna try to burn a new map but didnt know if that could be a cause. not a plugged air filter like someone else experience the same symtoms. checked all vacume hoses nothing there.

so i thing the last thing to check the my main wiring from my ecu through the firewall for a short somewhere.

anyone else think of anything or had this happen?

did you adjust the tps right? you could also try another ecu if you have access to one.

 

You're supposed to flip the wires on the TPS right? Did you do that? I think if I remember correctly, the DPFI and MPFI read in reverse. So if you didn't do that, you may want to check that.

 

yah i did tryed a different ecu it didnt do anything different. tps is set correctly.

i will try to flip the tps wires around you mean just flip the plug right?

 

i dunno what exact wires i need to reverse that were not already reversed in the first place.

 

I think you need to de-pin it, and re-pin it. (plug should only plug in one way. So you just need to reverse the pins on the harness)

 

why would i have to do this now and not befor when it was running

 

there are three wires going to the tps. Depin the two outside wires and swap them. see if that works

 

but my question is why would i have to do this now when it ran fine befor with out that. not tryin to be a idiot but im just not understanding.
