Okay now this is first type of a weird problem that I've ever ran into and (I ran into a lot of problems in the past) and was wondering if anybody could help me figure this thing out. Ok lets see here..

Long story short.. I swapped a y8 into a 99' ek hatch. Everything went fine.. on the first try of starting it.. it turned over and puurrred perfectly @ 1,500 rpm. I shutted it off then later I tried to start it again and it wouldnt start. I then noticed that there wasnt any "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" that was coming on and when I put the key in the 2nd position, there is also "NO FUEL PRIMING". Im like WTF!! And then later, later, I tried to start it again.. and STILL NO GO.. so I checked all the fuses and everything and noticed that whenever I try to start it.. Im getting a weird small clicking sound coming from the FUSE BOX in the engine bay itself! WEIRD **** HUH??

Anybody ever ran into this type of problem? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

 

clicking noise should be your fuel pump relay. maybe you need to swap the relays around to see if anything changes.

 

fuel pump relay? are you talking about the main relay that's under the driver's side dash? or some other type of "fuel pump relay" located in the engine bay's fuse box or else where?

does it start again after a while? if that only happens after turning it off on a warm/hot day then it's most likely the main relay

 

its not starting at all for some reason. (no check engine light on & no fuel pump priming fuel to the fuel pump) and a "small clicking noise" coming from the fuse box in the engine bay. bump for some input help!
