Okay, so I started my build and am trying to piece everything together. The question is what head gasket do I run. I figured maybe Cometic or Golden Eagle.(oem is 3 layer)(do I run a 2 layer to crank it up alittle or what not)(please help me honda techer's)
Here is my setup:
RLZ 42cc Head
Pro2 Cams
Pro series valvetrain with Flat valves
locks, seals, seats, guides, are all ferrea
Bensen Sleeved 84mm block
Manley 12.5:1 pistons
Crower rods
arp head/main/rod bolts
89mm eagle crank
CTR n1 crank
Rmf replica headers
TWM itbs with rc310s
what should i run? a 2 layer or keep it at oem spec with the 3layer(.029)
thanks everyone

I would keep it with an oem 3 layer. The added thickness would act as a cushion or safety blanket so you don't blow your motor up.
What grade of fuel are you planning to run?

youre gonna need some bigger injectors too...
you need to calculate your comp. ratio as it would be with a standard thickness HG, then compare it to your target comp. ratio. No piston manufacturer can safely say "12.5:1" pistons, as all setups are a little different. it looks like you have a pretty in-depth build there, and unless its a track car you might not be able to fuel it at the pump.

what is your dome displacement and deck height? have you cc'ed your combustion chambers? in theory flat valves add .2-.3 compression but the only way to know what youre running is to measure it with a buret and some soapy water.
figure that needle and pintle style injectors can be operated up to around 85% duty cycle, and RC's can only be run about 60% (for some reason, idk). Your best bet is to talk to your tuner about your setup and see what size injectors to buy before you start spending money. If I stick with RC's on my 12:1 b16 build Ill prob. have to go to 440's, but my head also flows 304 cfm.
Ive also heard that some new Bosch injectors are supposed to have a great spray pattern, but its all heresay still. might be worth looking into for you. good luck man.

I would run the OEM 3 layer. most of the cometics are .030 thickness and OEM is .026 so you will LOSE compression points, that is unless you decide to run that 2 layer which IMO is kinda like russian roulette...
