Default B20vtec or B20 turbo?

ok heres the situation..

I own a 95 cx hatchback, im swapping a completely stock b20b into it this week. i am going to be moving to peoria, IL next year to go to school so i dont have a lot of money and i will have to buy part by part as i get money..

my question is.. would you go b20v or b20t? i would like to be making 200+ whp and have it be reliable.

If you dont have a lot of money and want it to be reliable, i think the best option for now would be the B20-VTEC. It maybe won't be as fast as you want, but you can always boost later on. At times, i regret building my setup while in college because money does get tight. If i were you, i would either do the B20-VTEC or simply save up and decide at a later date. Whatever you do, dont rush the decision and DON'T half-*** it because it will cost more in the long run.

i thought b20s weren't good to boost cause of the "thin" stock sleeves?
also ive been told if you use high compression pistons and something like skunk pro2 cams the b20 has a high chance of the piston hitting the valves?

Who told you this??? NOT true....i don't know how miss information gets out there like this :S

Do those look thin to you?? Stock B20B short block!

To the OP, run non vtec. You want some extra kick, find the high flow jdm B20 head called a P8R....it flow the same as a vtec head, and no mods needed to run it.....with a turbo, it would be awesome!!!

All motor non-vtec b20 might not be a bad idea, it'd be a friggin tq monster!

Maybe something like this?
