VTEC/Non VTEC 92-96 Distributor question
as far i know they are different...i had to replace my distributor and the first time i went to p/u one up, they gave me the vtec dist. and it had a totally different bolt pattern than the non-vtec...not sure if they gave me a 97-01 lude dist. though, but the box said 92-96 non-vtec...but that's not important...it was for a vtec for sure though! so, unless they gave me the one from a newer prelude and just had the box screwed up, then yes they are different!
i also have my h23a1 dizzy on my 98 h22a4 the bolt pattern is not different but all obd1 dizzy's have a TDC sensor that is on the crankshaft on the obd2 cars. since i was switching the engine to obd1 i had to use an older dizzy. but the bolt pattern is exactly the same.
yep they are the same. OBD 1 and OBD 2 probably have differnt harness on them though. but this guys seems to be working so..
From my experience they are different. They will both work, but they are different.
My JDM H22 came with a dizzy that had an internal coil and there are extra wires in the wire harness part of it.
My stock H23 has an external coil. I am using the H23 dizzy with external coil on my H22.
