Icon2 QUICK HEATER QUESTION...

...I have a '90 Civic DX and my heater doesnt work! hasn't worked since I owned the car! lol

Anyways I checked all the fuses and they are all there and good. What is causing my heater to not work? Could it be the heater motor?

umm the heater control valve might be clogged i think thats what it is, theres some hoses that usually get clogged up. i just flushed out my cooling system and that worked for me.

See if you're getting power to your blower motor. If you are, the motor is dead and you need to replace it.
If you aren't getting power to the motor, check your resistor (although they tend to fail one or two speed settings at a time) and make sure that you are checking the right fuse for the blower motor. It is seperate from the fuse panel -- attached to the side of it.

So there is a fuse on the side of the blower motor? or to the side of the fuse panel?

Im going to go out and double check everything right now and get back to you guys!

easy as hell...use a test light and see if the plug has power. if it doesnt maybe the resistor is bad. its behind the glove box with a plug on top of it. also an easy test for the motor is use 2 jumper wires and attatch them directly to the battery. see if the blower works.
