Hey guys.. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me what might be causing this problem my car has had since i got it few months ago. BTW sorry for my poor english.

Anyway the car is a 98 ITR and the problem is at 1500rpm it hesitates, but only when i press the pedal lightly, there's no problem reving over 1500 when i'm taking off and on the move i just press the pedal slightly harder than i would usually do to get over 1500 rpm. It's starting to annoy me very much.

Anyone had this problem ?

 

Have you checked your spark plugs, cap and rotor, plug wires?

 

I agree with get RIGHT, also has the fuel filter ever been changed?

 

Check your timing too.

Do you have any stored Check Engine Light codes? Have you checked the throttle position sensor response?

 

Well i have a full MSD system, could be something wrong with that

If the fuel filter is the problem than it should only happen at heavy throttle, not when i push the pedal lightly, or what ?

There's no CEL light, also my O2 sensor is brand new

 

fuel filter problems can be very tricky, ranging from starting issues to hesitations under load or even partial throttle. never think too far ahead most people over look the simple stuff like in your case you are thinking your MSD ignition has an issue, yet you haven't answered if something cheap and simple like your fuel filter has ever been changed.

 

Yeb you're right, i'll start with changing the fuel filter and see what happens
