how 2 check a cel on a swap

got a 90 hatch with a 94 gsr and i was wondering how do you check a check engine light now that it is obd1? i am just running a jumper

There is a 2 pin connector at your passenger side kick panel. Jump it and the cel in your gauge cluster will blink out your codes

i wanna say its blue. should be either hangin or tucked up on that side. 88-89's i believe have this connector under the hood by the driverside shocktower.

if you are running a jumper harness theres 2 wires u put together and it will blink on the gauge cluster thats how i did it.. i just cant remember wut color i think on mine they were yellow

true. not all jumpers have those wires though. i don't believe my rywire harness does.. but then again it's been quite some time since i've looked at that area of my car lol.
