Default Possible ISB Problem

What are the symptoms of a bad Input Shaft Bearing? Where is it located, and how long will it last? Because I put in a tranny I got off of craigslist and it makes a horrible gear grinding noise when its under load (slowing down in 1st/2nd gear) or accelerating full throttle. It drives fine and the clutch grips fine it just makes this noise. And its not when going into the gears, it shifts like butter. So I'm just wondering if its the input shaft bearing, and how hard it would be to replace this.

e either till 2 weekends ago man i followed a tear down thread, and couldnt beleive how easy it was.

my tranny has been making a metal on metal squealing sound like a bearing going out so i took it out ripped it apart, and found all kinds of goodies inside it (broken gears, metal peices).
