Good pics........

Comptech question: if you were submerged in water, should h2o get into the air filter?

no water for you!!!!
too many holes and the lid is on loosly. so only if the whole box was under water, but that is highly doubtable...

hydrolock may not happen, but water still gets inside the elbow from carwash or rain, and makes its way up the filter as evaporates.

Last year, a member on this forum DID hydrolock with the Icebox. Take off the cover when the rain is pouring like no tomorrow.

i dont get why people spend money on this thing when it is a copy of the stock one...

i have a "ice-box", you know what i did i took out the resonator of the stock box that goes in the bumper and safety wired the tube that would connect the box with the resonator together... it is exactly what the comptech icebox is except for .01 percent of the cost..

I'm not trying to start a conflict here, but taking the cover "off" the Icebox means you no longer have an Icebox

Check out the Dyno charts on the site under "Carlex". The results might change your mind!

I know this has been covered, but could anyone post results of Icebox dyno results? 97-98 vs 00-01 would be ideal.
