oil cooler???
they help alot any time you can keep the oil temp around 180-200* the better but dont make the lines too big or you will be running low oil pressure the pump cant handle it and oil will just sit in the lines and move slowly then poss. spin a bearing...dont have pics but known of it done but have seen it done.. also you can heat wrap your header where it goes under the oil pan it will help keep oil temp. down too.
good luck..
good luck..
Unless you race the car, there is a no need for an oil cooler. Your first step would be to install an aftermarket oil temperature gauge to see what your temps are. If their below 240, your fine.
downfalls (if any)
-expensive
-more prone to failure/leaking
-requires more oil
Reasons to:
-easy install of accusumps, temp/pressure gauges, oil thermostats, etc.
-keeps oil cool (duh)
-quick filter replacement (with remote filter)

He has a point, that would be the only exception. But even at that, you do not necessarily need it to run good. Money could be better well spent some where else IMO.
