car wont start on a hill
This has been happening for 2 months. Whenever im on a slope, be it uphill or downhill, the engine does not crank, theres just a clicking noise and thats it. All other electrical systems are working. Its not the battery, ive switched it to a known good battery and still the same thing. I dont know what this might be.
More info, the SRS light is on, code 5-2 SRS control unit. I dont know if thats in anyway connected to the problem Im having. I have 2 guesses, the starter motor is going out, or the ignition switch, But I have no idea why having the car on a slope would affect anything.

Try a bypass jump.
When not cranking, [parked on slope] use a jumper lead, [12ga min] with one end connected to the batt. pos.(+) then unplug the starter control lead from starter and touch the jumper lead to the terminal the control lead was plugged into.
BE VERY CAREFULL, engine will crank, [if starter works] even if ign. switch is off, car is in gear, clutch not stepped on, so make sure transmission is in neutral and hand brake is set.
If engine does not crank, replace starter motor, either motor or solenoid is bad.
If engine does crank, check starter relay and/or CIS, if it is an automatic check the A/T gear position switch. 94
