Starting/Stalling problem with 92 Accord EX-R.
In the scenario below, the car has been sitting overnight.
I turn key 1st time and the car instantly roars to life but then it dies immediately.
I turn key 2nd time and it's usually the same as above.
I turn key 3rd time and it start's OK and it seems to be running fine but if I start driving before it has completely warmed up it will die after 10-30 seconds of driving with no warning (scary).
This only happens when the car is cold.
Once the car has been warmed up to normal driving temp it's fine.
After car is at normal driving temp I can shut it off and start again perfectly but if the car sits for an hour or so then I have the same problems all over again.
The above symptoms happen 90% of the time but every once in a while when turning the key instead of it roaring to life the starter has to work a bit.
When the starter has to work a bit then it starts perfectly with no stalling symptoms but if it roars to life instantly then I know it's going to stall.
Car is a stock EX-R model with automatic and 120,000 miles.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Zak
