Default Can I wire my speakers like this?

I just bought 2 nice componenet speakers and I am going to wire them to my 150 watt 2 channel amp. I was wondering If I can put my 8 ohm subwoofer in there too. 1 speaker for each channel and the positive subwoofer wire to the left postitive speaker wire and negitive speaker wire to the right negative speaker wire (before the speaker wire hits the crossovers).
The only thing this that my manuel is saying 2ohm min for the speakers and 4ohm min for the subwoofer; with tweeters at 60 watts, midrange at 60 watts, and subwoofer at 120 watts.

My speakers are 4ohm and my subwoofer is 8ohm. Will this still work? Would I just get half the power? Would I need a capacitor? Thanks.

What is the make and model of the amp?

Yes, some amps can be wired like that, "multi-mode" you will need to add a passive x-over for the sub.

WTS, it is better to get a mono block sub amp for the sub, with about 3 times the total RMS power of the 2ch amp. 94

Its a rockford fosgate 2.6x. I am going to get some subwoofers when I can spend some more money and I already have an amp for the subs I will soon get but it will blow this little one away lol. I used to have 2 subs and an amp but my amp and second sub got stolen.

Do you have any suggestion for witch one I should get? I googled 'passive crossover' and cant seem to get it straight. Or just a link to a passive crossover. My sub is 10''

Thanks man I really appreciate the advice. One last question though, would it be ok/safe to just run it without a crossover for a little while? Im assuming it just would sound as good or have as much bass.

You could, although it will sound like kaka, better to have no sub, but unlike driving a tweeter without a x-over it would be very hard to damage the sub with a full-range signal. 94
