B18c-r(type r) all motor 250whp on pump gas Help out honda guys
Hey guys i am trying to reach 250whp on pump gas this what i have so far
The engine is b18c5 type r
The block is getting sleeved to 2liter ( i also want to stroke it to 2.2liter)
compression i am shooting for is 12.1 comp so its maxed out but safe for pump gas
cylinder head
port and polish
skunk2 stg 3 pro's and cam gears
sk2 valves springs etc...
Individual throttle bodies TWM
Skunk2 4-2-1racing prototype header
2 3/4 exhaust
Would i be able to reach 250whp ? with this mods??
give me some feedback really need help this is my 2nd build on b18c5 ..
if somebody came close to it can u let me know what setup and parts did you use thanks!!

you should be able to reach your goals without stroking the motor.
just don't cheap out use nice parts a good ported head, degree in the cams and a high end header should help get the job done

i tryed to see what is the difference between stoked motors and high compression which ones are better..i know more tq with stroke and more power with high comp . but to have 12.1 comp daily what to chose then. boring out the sleeves will bump the hp!

what compression did you run and what type of internals and other parts if it is not a secret!! I'm curious and what bore size
The thing is i seen so many builds that would make 240 or so making 225 because of small exhaust not good intake manifold ,thats where knowledge comes in play and knowing what parts to choose !
Good headwork, good exhaust manifold and good tuning will be the determining factor. 3" exhaust should do you good for that much flow.

cnc ported b16 head with some hand work
flat faced valves etc
pro 3 cams degreed in
jenvey 48mm taper bore itb's
smsp b20 vtec header 3inch collector
sleeved gsr block 84mm bore stock stroke
cp 12:5to1 pistons ceramic coated domes anti friction coating on the skirts
carillo pro a rods
oils squirters plugged some other crank work to get a little extra power nothing serious
and great tuning
awsome setup ..
what was your final hp and tq numbers.. and did you ever tune it on race gas ..how much should race gas give more hp wise i seen gains as much as 10-20whp !!
