So I thought I would clean and paint my VC while I waited on parts for my sol. As soon as I pulled the cover off and went to close the hood this fell out from underneath the cover onto the pavement. The cover was out from under the hood and then it fell out from under the cover! I have never seen anything like this before. I think it might even be from outer space! I think aliens might have dropped it as I removed the cover to see what I would do and to see how long I would try to find a place to put it. They probably thought I would get frustrated and just toss it back under the VC before install and hope it would find its place on it's own only to destroy my precious engine (I have theories that aliens use V8's in their ships and that they hate 4 cyl., but more on that in another thread). However, they didn't know that I had the most POWERFUL weapon at my disposal...mild mannered internet by day, **** CACHE BY NIGHT!!! (Oh, and to a lesser extent, a honda tech forum but you get the picture) So anyway my fellow Hondanites (You like that? Hondanites?) I call on you once again for your undying support. What IS this vile thing that masquerades as a part I need? Tune in next post for the answer... (Pics below)

LMA's are only used on Vtec motors guys, defiantly not what that is

 

Its part of your PCV check valve I believe

 

yea that looks like your or a previous pcv valve might have fallen apart

 

It was broken in half, previous owner tried to make a hose that was too short work and now that it's too cold it snapped in half. Notice the new one in the last pic is part of the reason I am cleaning it up, lol. That has to be what it is, thanks again guys!
