Default GSR block w/ LS crank

I am looking to rebuild a gsr block I have with a LS crank and rods, using ITR pistons. I remember reading a thread about this setup, but I cant find it anymore. I just wanted to know if there is any special work needed to make it work? Will I need to do anything to the rods? Any special parts I need to buy. I am looking to bore it out to 81.5mm. Any tips would help, thanks...

Don't use the oil squirters (use the golden eagle block kit) so they don't hit against the piston. I myself and several others have done this

just to give you an idea what to expect.

I have a b16b stock head including cams,IM
b16b block with ls rods and 82mm +11.5 comp pistons.
fully rebuilt with new gaskets,seals,bearings.
itr water and oil pump.
I/H/E and performance wires,breather,pulley.
street tune since we dont have a dyno near by.

car(edm ek4 vti)ran a 14.3 vs the b16a2 with the same bolt ons at 15.2
and this was with no proper dyno tune and with just 800 miles on the motor.

Iam not sure if its fuel quality, alltitude or the air quality but it is typical that
cars do run slower here in Germany therefore I assume with everything nicely tuned
and swaped in a light car like an EG you would easily fall into the 13's.

speaking from the b16/itr gear ratio point of view,The car will want a longer 5th which shodan has done

You will need to get a set of arp rod bolts put in the LS rods and have them re-rounded. I would also have the whole rotating assembly balanced as a unit. a stock LS bottom end was not made to spin like a vtec bottom end. Past experience, this will eat bearings.

Things I would definatly do is:

get arp rod bolts
get arp head studs
itr water & oil pump
quality new rebuild kit
have the rods shotpeened
have everything balanced
have everything assembled by a very good engine builder to make sure he does it right.
one thing I didnt have the chance with which I would recommend is get it dyno tuned right away and break in properly.
