96 gsr block.
i was told to order the part below (p/n 11107-pt2-000) to fill in the hole pictured below because there was nothing in it to begin with and i need a way to block off the port because i dont want to use my oil cooler on this motor. well the part measures 18mm accross and it DOES NOT fit in the hole. the treads are NOT pipe threads as you might expect to see on a coolant port. they are very fine threads as well (1.25 or 1.00)
does anybody have a way for me to block off this port?
was i given the wrong part to order?
the motor is in the car.
the ideal thing for me to do would be to use a brass plug from the hardware store but all of them are standard pipe thread pitches and dont fit.

thanks, doug
