don't be surprised if some sand comes out... I removed mine in the past and that's what happened to me.... I assume it was just there from the original "sand casting" of the block.....

If you change the crush washer on it, you will have no problem with it leaking.

I removed that plug and sand and rust particles came flowing out. It was the last straw for my cooling problems. I had a fluidyne radiator two electric fans, new coolant and water pump, and clearing out the block crud finally solved the damn overheating probs.

my b16a3 doesn't have a coolant bleeder on the block.
not all motors have bleeders. (which surprised me)
weird huh?

Are you talking about the bleeder screw or the coolant drain bolt. I am pretty sure all engines have the bolt, but not of all them have the bleeder screw.

what is the difference between a b16a2 and a b16a3? I always wondered that. So far i got the IM out and everything swaped on the new one and all the lines are marked. Now i just have to get it on tomorrow and hope i can get the nuts back on and beable to torque them. I was hard to get at the 2 middle bottom nuts to loosen them.
