prelude 325cc or dsm 450 cc injectors HELP!!
hello all, im going to running dsm boost on my dohc f22b in my 94 accord ex coupe and was hoping to run 9 psi. i was told that i should be able to hit 290 whp after tuning. my questions is are the 325cc prelude injectors big enough or should i run dsm 450s? i'm sending my ecu to john vega for a base map and idk what injector i should use. any feedback would be great thank you all in advance
Theres no reason to not just do the 450s.. There is room to play with and/or upgrade youre setup in the future.. No point in getting one set and then have to get another set for more flow later on..

i was thinking the 325cc cause i have the h22 head already... therefor no money spent.. but i can also just go the the junkyard and get some 450s for cheap too.. i just hope that the 290 mark was for real thats what the tuner i talked to said he hit with his stock ls with 9 psi.. they have pretty close to the same comp. ratio.. 8.8:1 i believe.
Go with the 450's no use in going to the tuner and possibly running out of fuel delivery capacity. It's better to run the 450 peak & hold injectors at lower duty cycles.
get the 450's.
also i think you should lower your hp goal a bit, ive seen built f22's just hitting the 300whp mark on built engines and bigger boost (15-18psi depending on turbo).
a stock f22b1 would be more around 220-230whp at 8-10psi like this one http://forums.evans-tuning.com/viewt...hp?f=32&t=1845
it will still be a fun car that makes lots of torque. get it tuned safely and dont worry about the whp# so much

this is a jdm dohc f22b. not a b1. the person i talked to that is a tuner at his own place beyond redline in green bay wi had an ls integra that he never took the vc off of and said he ran 9 psi and hit 290 when it had 154000, my motor has 54000. they have practicaly the same comp ratio. thats why i dont see why it would be a problem.
totally missed that you said dohc in the first post. in that case i assume you will be making some better power. post up the results when finished, im interested since you dont see too many dohc f22b's

Get the 450's. That is a good start. Eventually you are going to want to upgrade and then you will have some room to grow. Albeit very little room to grow, but there will be a little room to grow.
