Default interior parts paint

i have a 95 coupe civic dx.and i just bought an arm rest but its tan.so i wanna paint it black.what paint do i use to paint it to make it look oem and match it like my black dashboard and everything else

You can paint it black but it will never match the black plastic or vinyl in your car exactly. If you must use the tan one, clean and then scuff both armrests VERY well with a scotch-brite pad. Paint them both so they match. The more pieces you paint, the more pieces will match each other. You should know that with a part that sees as much wear as an armrest, the paint won't last very long no matter what you do.

Go to your local automotive paint supply store and pick up some SEM rattle can interior paint in the color of your choice, not cheap but you'll be very pleased with the results as long as you prep the surface properly
