Re: interior paint project (racingcrx)
[QUOTE=racingcrx]was painting interior pieces,
painted speaker covers and bubbles appeared.
not sure why this happen but we used dupli color paint for this project, was clean before paint.
does anyone know how to prevent these bubbles?

Re: interior paint project (VRD)
i guess now it time to remove all the screwed painted pieces with brake cleaner from what i hear on different threads and redo by CLEANING 2x with some rubbing alcohol and repaint with proper vinyl paint.
btw.. i was trying to save an extra 1.50 with the dupli ... and now end up spending another 13 for 2 more cans.. doh

Re: interior paint project (racingcrx)
Use Duplicolor vynl and fabric paint. Get flat paint for a factory look and use a protectant to get it glossly or do what 93eg2james did and paint it with gloss Works great, goes on looking like any other paint maybe thinner, but the details of the panels come out as it dries and becomes more of a dye. Just put the work into the prep work and the result will look great and last long. Don't prime or smoothen the surface if you want the factory pattern, just clean real good and with a brush.
Also 93eg2james I painted the plastic peices on the door to flat black as well and the paint works amazing on plastic. Just letting you know in case you didn't cuz I see your great door handles
btw I'm in the process of painting my interior black(left) because the power doors I ordered came in grey(right) and my interior is dark gray(middle), also waiting on the tweed for red inserts.
