spark plug non-foulers...WTF?
I've been having problems with my spark plug wires lately, having to mess around with the rubber boots and whatnot, because they weren't staying put. anyway, when I finally thought I had that problem fixed, one of the spark plugs started fouling and I found that one of the plug wells had some oil inside it. I cleaned it out and installed a non-fouler but the plug wire is now sticking out an inch or so.
what am I supposed to do with this? should I cut the plastic tube on the end of the wire shorter so it goes fits properly?
also, I test drove it and it ran fine for about 20 minutes, but then because of the plug wire/boot sticking out, it started to loosen from the plug and started running erratically.

He probably also need the o-rings under the cam holders (spark plug holes go through these too). The ones on my wagon came out like brittle plastic.
The only thing non-foulers are good for is faking your OBD2 emissions test. Testpipe + nonfouler = $2.99 passed state inspection!
Just throw a new valvecover gasket set on it and call it a day. And from the sounds of it, new wires and plugs too. Best $50 you'll ever spend

Whoa!
Are you rational thinkers saying there are o-rings under the camholder[s] in addition to those on the valve cover? No wonder changing the ones on the cover never does anything for me! Anyone have a picture of the camholder ones?
Tx!

agreed. or a tech guide link.
A shop manual for your Accord would be the first thing to look for if you want to fix your own car. Saves having to post questions and waiting for answers when you can look stuff up yourself.
Google "Spoon tuner HELMS Factory Service Manuals"

Congratulations, LandHard! First entry on my "ignore" list! Your winning combination of ignorance and obnoxious 'tude means your the first person I've met on this board that I'm absolutely sure I'll never want to hear from again. B'Bye.
GhostAccord, I don't know if you're being an antagonist or not, but I've never seen a shop manual that addresses the question I posted about the plug boot. Aren't tech forums designed for posting questions and answers?
Yes, That is what these forums are for. Yes it's for posting questions and answers. It also has a very extensive search function, archive & a rather large FAQ section. Yours is an issue that has been covered many times in the past. Did you even try reading the FAQ's or trying the search function prior to posting your question. I mean that is what they are designed for.
Your not always going to find somebody online who has more time than than they know what to do with. That take pics while they do a step by step repair procedure that has already been published in step by step detail in a Honda/Helms manual.
I have given you access to a free PDF download of an other wise $70 manual. If you think I'm being an antagonist and don't want to take my help that's completely up to you.
Good luck with your repairs. In your case I hope that it's the lower O-rings that are leaking.
Cheers
