GSR Taking 15+ cranks to start
Hi all, ive searched everywhere and have threads up on different forums, but i wanted to see what you guys thought about my situation over here.
My car lately, actually since december, is taking about 15+ cranks to start, or itll just go until the battery dies and i need a jump. ive done nothing to the motor since i purchased a year ago. its currently at a tuners shop getting looked at but theyre stumped too. heres a list of mods
this issue is only a pain in the *** when the car is completely cold, like i sleep at night wake up in the morning and need to go to school and it doesnt start.
the longer i leave it the more problems it has starting.
Last week we had 30 degree weather and the car had no problems starting after 3 tries, but now the temps dipped back to single digits and the car sat outside for 4hrs and didnt start till i hooked it up to jumper cables and kept going because i literally would have to keep trying to start it till the battery died.
so temperature is the only major affecting variable i can see.

aem cai
skunk 2 intake manifold
70mm tb port matched with IM
port polished head
skunk 2 valves
ferrea retainers and springs
skunk 2 cam gears
dc sports header
jdm type r pistons
narrow band
oil pressure gauge
b&m fpr
fuel pressure gauge
tuned on crome
Compression is 230 across the board and the fuel pressure is there when the car starts. The car IS getting spark and fuel as i was told by my tuner.
Here is a list of items that have been tested on the car/replaced
walbro 255lph pump
fuel filter
msd distributor
ngk spark plugs
new ecu
jumper harness
fuel injectors
rewired fuel injectors
battery
starter switch
Im stumped at the moment on what it could be. ive searched my topic already and havent come up with anything i havent tried yet so if someone could throw me some ideas on what could possibly be going wrong, please do!
thank you!

have you guys checked the starter? what are the troubleshooting steps you've performed thus far? try tapping the starter with a hammer and then try starting it.

i forgot completely what he went over.
im going to have him double check the ignition fuel tables tomorrow too.
Update 1/31
Went to the shop and spoke with the tuner, hes stumped but is determined to figure out this problem. He says its really intermittent, and that the cause may be a bad ground in the system. Hes checked out the grounds in the engine bay only to find that they are indeed okay, however theres one more inside the car he wants to look at.
I had an alarm guy stop by the shop to take a look at the car to install a compustar and he says that the underside of the dash looks like spaghetti and that the previous alarm and gauges were installed very amateurish.
on another note, we are also going to try a new coolant temp sensor to see if it changes anything and hes going to datalog the car while its having problems to see if the computer can catch anything.
the fuel cranking compensation table has been checked and is fine btw

Did you advance your ignition timing? unless its too advanced, might need to be retarded.. Check that, I had the same issue with my car. i advanced my ignition timing a bit. flawless starts and Im in -15 degrees celsius weather right now. If as you say you checked everything else, i can almost guarantee that your ignition timing is either too far in advance or retarded.
Is it possible that you got bad gas? I am having a similar issue when the car is cold (below 20 F). I just filled again on Thursday and the problem seems less.
