Default aem CAI

when installing an aem cai, two vacuum hoses are removed. one from the FIA (Fuel Injection Air) valve and the other from the IAR (intake Air Resonator). what would happen in i capped those vacuum hoses?

Nother. One is for crankcase venting, the other is for idle vacuum.

As long as you put on crankcase breather filter where the crankcase tubes came from.

The two vacuum lines need to be capped. The CAI should have a place to connect it to the valve cover.

Sort of..
it does affect the vaccum pressure that your car uses to idle and run correctly. it blows hot air back into the intake (it does) but it is so minimal that it has no effect on performance and sometimes better to just keep that part hooked up

This is just my opionion and from on hands experience, but you can do what you like.
