I use the defrost / floor setting a lot when its cold with the fan on low and hate that every time I turn it on the AC compressor is kicking on. In my MX5 I was able to simply cut a wire that led from the defrost setting on the temp control panel... Is this possible in my 2000 Civic EX??? 90% of the time I do not need the AC system to be on with it in defrost mode, it sucks power and is causing unnecessary wear to the compressor and AC components! Please let me know if this can be disabled, I don't know if the control **** has a circuit board or switches behind it, Ive never had it apart! ~Matt
