Default need some help for a lsv swap

I have a 91 DA with a b16 head and i'm having problems getting my vtec to kick in. I checked the wiring from the ecu(pr3) to the vtec solenoid... thats good, i checked the oil line and thats good too. So the only thing is the actual solenoid its self right? Does anyone one know how to check if its still working? Also does the map sensor have anything to do with it?

You can check it by taking the one wire from it and applying 12v to it. If it clicks then its working correctly. Make sure to disconnect the solenoid from the harness first before doing so.
