Default $ Money & Decisions: LSD or Mods?

Figure this would be the best place to ask the Q?

The N/A Route, would it be practical to pick up a LSD Differential or LSD Equipped Trans. (I.E. ITR Trans) for the All Motor Route. Or use the $ Money elsewhere?

$1000 Trans. vs. $1000 of mods. (Cams, T.B, D.V. Sprigs, Titanium Retainers, Intake Manifold, Injectors, ECU Ect...)

HP Goal: 205+
Motor: JDM B18C

I like to hear from experience 1st.

I'd start working on the throttle body, intake manifold, header & exhaust, S300.
Then you can start working on the head or LSD.

depends on what trans you have now. If your rockin an LS than i would do the trans in a heart beat but if you already have a b16 or even a GS-R id do the mods first. Gearing is the easiest way to get quicker. Also you can pick up a good condition ITR LSD trans for less than 1,000.

What are you using it for? Daily driving? AutoX?

Honestly, the LSD will make a huge difference in handling/steering feel. I personally like the Quaife, but it could be considered a little overkill for DD (it gives my inside tire hell on slow, tight turns). Type R is better for DD, but still lacks compared to a true "race" part. Anyway, if it is a DD with no type of racing/turning being done, I would actually suggest going with motor mods first (assuming you dont have a LS trans).

This will be a Street Car/D.Driver

I will be running a GSR Trans. (non-LSD)

Anyone have honest thoughts on OEM ITR cams? I had ran them in the past and didn't notice much.

Like to see whats out there that's easy on OEM ITR Valve Train.
