radio error?

Default radio error?

today i put in some hids and took out my battery to get a little more room because i didnt want to take off my bumper in -20 degree whether. but anyways now the radio reads error and no matter what i push it still says so and the alarm light flashes so any help is appreciated thanks

You need the radio code. Check the sides of your glove box, or the underhood fuse box. Should be a five digit code. Other thing to do is get the part number off the side of the radio, your vin, and google Honda Radio Code. There's a site where you punch in a bunch of stuff and it spits out a code. You could also call your local dealer, and they should give you the code for free, but you still need the part number off the radio.

yea i figured out the trick so for anyone else with this problem you turn key on and hold 1 and 6 while holding these numbers turn radio on and continue to hold then the 8 digit number will come up 4 numbers at a time. no need to take out radio or anything then just call a dealer

The 8 digit number would be the radio serial or part number, not the unlock code. Just to clarify?

the 8 digit number is the serial number. then once you have that call the dealer and tell them the serial number and they will give you the 5 digit unlock code
