You need the radio code. Check the sides of your glove box, or the underhood fuse box. Should be a five digit code. Other thing to do is get the part number off the side of the radio, your vin, and google Honda Radio Code. There's a site where you punch in a bunch of stuff and it spits out a code. You could also call your local dealer, and they should give you the code for free, but you still need the part number off the radio.

yea i figured out the trick so for anyone else with this problem you turn key on and hold 1 and 6 while holding these numbers turn radio on and continue to hold then the 8 digit number will come up 4 numbers at a time. no need to take out radio or anything then just call a dealer

The 8 digit number would be the radio serial or part number, not the unlock code. Just to clarify?

the 8 digit number is the serial number. then once you have that call the dealer and tell them the serial number and they will give you the 5 digit unlock code
