Alright long story short I have 3 integras so its hard to keep track of the keys. I some how lost a key for the one integra I have never moved yet.
I took the title to my acura dealer and they cut a key to the VIN (after a big drawn out process) for $35 after they told me on the phone it would only be $5.
So I get home and the key doesn't work in any lock on the car.
So either the previous owner changed all the locks on the car and the ignition, or the dealer cut it wrong.
I HAVE to get this key ASAP...what should I do now? Dealer says no refunds...but obviously after the crap they put me through just to get this key I would make a big stink if infact they cut it wrong.

Did you try the key in all locks, including the trunk/hatch?
If the locks have been swapped, you will need to hire a locksmith to get you into the car. They can probably re-pin the lock cylinders to the new key as well, but be prepared to pay.
There are ways to get into the car without a key, but I won't go into detail on the Internet. Just use some ingenuity and you can figure it out.

I already got the doors open, I tried the key in the ignition, the trunk lock, and both door locks and it wont turn... apparently a lock smith is the only other way unless I find this key!
The locks were obviously swapped, or the dealer screwed up on the key.
its probable that the lock cylinders were changed, even the ignition assembly, if the car was ever stolen or the ignition ever broke, they would have likely changed them. I in fact have two keys for my car, i put an entirely new ignition assembly in the car and two lock cylinders in the doors which use an entirely different style key, so that no one with a master acura key can just open the door. I also removed my lock assembly from the hatch completely. This is all for security purposes obviously.

It was the right one.
It just seems funny to me that all locks would be changed. The car is a 97 with 80,300 on the odometer with one owner and clean as a whistle.
The dealer wrote down the "key code" for me so I wont be charged another $25 for them to look it up if i lost the key again.
Is the "key code" stamped anywhere on the ignition itself?

Are you sure about this? the code is on the passenger door lock?
If thats the case all i need is the code and the acura dealer can cut a key. The part where they kill you is its only $5.50 to cut the key...but they charge you $25 to LOOK up the code with your vin.
