ok so i've searched this over and over and still cant find an answer. will 99-00 si rear seats fit into a 96-00 civic sedan. or will any ek coupe rear seat fit an ek sedan. i know integra sedan seats fit but i would like to get si rears so i can have them match my front seats.

 

Sedans have extra pieces on the outside edge of the seats. Fold your seats forward and two pieces should stay up along the doors.

Coupe and hatches don't have those.

Coupe rear seat
40/60 fold down rear seats.
One left side upper, one right side upper and one bottom section.
Automatically locks into place. Uses key or handles in trunk to release.



Hatch rear seat
50/50 fold down rear seats.
One left side upper, one right side upper and one bottom section.
Uses pins to lock into place. Pull pins up to release.



Sedan rear seats
40/60 fold down rear seats.
One left side upper, one right side upper, one left trim panel, one right trim panel and one bottom section.
Automatically locks into place. Uses key or handles in trunk to release.



In case you can't see the problem with the sedan seats, this highlighted piece isn't in coupes and hatches.

 

thanks, i understand completely. now, would removing these outer pieces allow the coupe seats to fit? or would it be too narrow? i've seen sedans with integra rear seats and i assume this is how they do it.

 

No, that would probably just leave a big *** gap in your rear seat.

Why do you have Si front seats anyway? They're not really great seats, especially compared to your stock ones.

 

i like the pattern and headrests, pretty close to my stock interior color without looking stupid, and i got them for $60 with rails.
