Default OEM block plate installed EM1: gasket/leak question

I just installed some mirrors mounted on oem block plates for my em1 civic. I couldn't get the stock rubber gasket from the stock mirrors to fit the oem block plates so i just wanted to see if anyone has done this and if they have had leaks not using the gasket. I'm guessing that it will leak. So if someone can give me some pointers, that'll be cool. Thanks

Why don't you seal it with silicone or some other (gasket in a tube)?

in that case, why would you put those on? Hate to say it, but they look kinda ghetto.

I'd seal them with silicone or RTV.

X2, I don't like those mirrors at all, Stock mirrors look so much better.
I'd seal them with silicone or RTV.
