Default HELP!:Does O2 sensor ever go bad from being to close to the end of the Downpipe?

Stupid O2 sensor I believe went bad after I was driving in some hard rain the other day. I mean I have driven through worse before and nothing happened. Idle has been getting kinda low at idle the past couple weeks but didn't think anythign of it. I am under the impression that ots been clogged with dirt, oil, water, something?? Set off code 43 a couple times which is a FUEL SYSTEM code. Check Vaccum or FPR.
Everything is fine but I get no signal on my Air/Fuel Gauge. Its there for a second and then fades off. Just seeing if anyone had a problem like this before.

By the way O2 sensor is about 1/2 inch from opening of the DP(Very Open to the elements)

Water destroys O2 sensors.
