Default b-series ek exhaust

i dont know if im in the right section but i am planning on swapping a jdm b18b on my 97 civic dx coupe and was going to grab an apexi ws2 catback exhaust after the swap..my question is do i get a 99-00 spec ws2 or a 96-00 d-series spec ws2?..any advice would be great

I don't think it matters; I honestly can't think of what would be different between the two. I ordered a d-series WS2 to use on my swapped 00 EX. On a DX, you're going to have to do something about the cat anyway.

what you have to watch out for is the different model lengths.

CX/DX/LX intermediate pipe will be longer, long enough to reach the header but the flange will be 180 degrees off so the bolts won't line up.

EX/Si will leave you with enough room for a factory sized cat or straight pipe between the header and intermediate pipe.

I ran in to the 180 degrees part with my b18 header sort sucked *** when i found out .. oh well

so i should grab the 99-00 si spec ws2 right?

It's the same on the EX also, at least for some years. My 2000 EX was 180 degrees off with my B18 header.
