Cars oil light flashed one day. Without thinking I checked it and added oil. Two days later I wake up with a knock in my motor that sounds like popcorn while in the car, and my dipstick dryy.

Can anyone help me determine what it is? Car will still run but feels as if it has no top end and it will shut off at idle. No cel code either

 

Spun bearing....the fact that you've tried to run it boards you on the fail boat

 

^yup sounds right time for a new swap/rebuild

 

spun bearing ... if it knocks faster when u rev then it def is

 

buy a new engine .... too much therapy to fix

 

Time for a new motoe I guess.

And I didn't try to run it, when it stared it I parked it and I turned it on to see what it sounded like to describe it
