So we all know bosch plugs are terrible right...?
I wanted to post this when it first happened but I misplaced the scans on my computer and finally found them again.
After I failed, I sea foamed the car and changed the plugs with some NGK's.. I highly doubt that sea foam alone changed the results of the smog that much but if it did that product deserves some kind of award(s). I was shocked at how bad the boschs worked and they had less than 20 miles on them!
FYI: This was on an out of state car.

seafoam can work wonders some times, it depends on how much carbon buildup you have. but maybe the boschs werent gapped right, with only 20 miles on them, they should have been pretty good
I don't think the sea foam did that much because the smoke from the tail pipe was barely anything.
Isn't the smoke the determining factor of how much carbon is in there?
Also, the bosch's are supposed to be pre-gapped for our cars.

nah smoke should pour out regardless of carbon,
but the proper way to apply seafoam is 1/3 gas tank, 1/3 pour into intake manifold, and 1/3 into the oil i believe (then change it of course)

Yeah that's what I did (I've sea foamed 4 other cars before but not for smog purposes).
Hmmmm. I know on my 01 Galant and the civic the smog is from barely had smoke. The civic that I have right now I sea foamed about a week ago and it completed dwarfed my other cars (excluding my 89 240sx).
My 240 had 250K miles when I did it on the original motor and the civic that I have now has 288K on it.

Did you notice a huge difference in the way the engine ran after sea foam?? Im thinking of doing that before boost, but im unsure of how great it works.
Nope. I can't say that I did.. I know it didn't run worse that's for sure. If there were advantages to using the sea foam I couldn't feel/notice them.
