Default Alpine mda-7755js no sound problem??

This a is a double din style mini disc/cd player combo. I know it's old but my buddy had one in his supra and it sounded awesome.

Anyway I'm not sure i have it hooked up right. I have all power and memory and bass from my sub and my external alpine amp is on and running. I just don't have any sound from my speakers?

How am i suppost to hook them up? I have them wired into the deck wiring, green/purple/wire and grey. I have my sub rca hooked into the sub-woofer leads on the back of the deck. I just pulled my working kenwood deck and hooked this one up and no sound from the speakers.

I don't have the manual and read something about turning on and off of the internal amp in the deck. I tried pushing and holding every button the deck and cannot find anything that i will let me turn it on. Here is a pic of the deck, if anyone out that has the same one(pretty rare) let me know....

i have an alpine reciever as well though i am not familiar with this one. i do know which setting you are talking about. the option is called "power ic [on/off]". this turns off/on the internal amplifier. to pull up my setting menu i hold my mute button. hope this helps
