Default catch can

i'm in the prosses of building a 2.0 high comp. pistons all motor set up. i've been looking around and came accross some things about catch cans.
is it better ventilate from the valve cover or the back of the block. like the stock one in the back but more efficient. i have also read that you just run the hose from your intake manifold to catch can and than from your catch can to the stock spot on the valve cover.

so i would just like to knows the best way or the right way to do it. not just for shows or bling effect. so any info you guys could help with this would be great.
thanks in advance.

Check it like once every two to three months. It is normal to clean oil and sometimes water out of the catch can as condensation plays a big role as well. For boosted applications a catch a can is priceless.
