I used this product called Meguiars Endurance tire gel and loved it since it lasts for weeks not days. It always advertise that it won't turn your tires brown. So I ran out of the product and hadn't treated the tires in a few weeks, and what happens? My tires turned brown! I'm getting brand new Falken Azenis soon. I was wondering if I should use a different product on those new tires, or not use any tire shine product at all?

i use it and its never done it to me. My car sat in storage for 3 months and the tires were still black when i got home.

 

I use it all the time too...I wash the tires with a tire cleaner everytime I wash my car then apply it on and it works great!

 

Never had a problem with it and i have been using it for over a year.
Its the only thing i will put on my tires

 

The only problem I have had with it is I put too much on and black **** got all over the wheels. Now I lightly coat the tires . Other than that I love it.

 

turtle wax is as good as endurance.. but that grape scent of endurance owns.

Seriously, I've used it for about 2 years now and I think the key is to make sure to scrub the tires at every washing to be able to put on a nice fresh coat of the gel.

 

IMO and experience, the better the shine on tires, the more it will make it brown over time. I used to use "the best" stuff, and my tires look like crap if I didn't take care of it on a regular basis.

With my current set, I have not used any tire dressing or cleaner. Just soap and water, and amor all it once or twice. The tires no longer have the brown look even when I don't wash/take care of it for a long time.

So for me, I'm not spending anymore $$$ on "tire products."

I use it and my tires never turn brown unless I drive through alot of dirt, etc.

Sometimes I don't even scrub my tires when I wash my car, because the tires are still shiny, even after washing the car.

 

Hm, I got the spray-on thing that does the same thing. It smells like Bubble gum too! So far, my tires have been black for about a month now.

 

Never had any problems w/it... I love the meguiars stuff.

 

well.. if you're going to be using those tires for their intended use, you shouldnt use tire shine.. my cousin and i were doing some cornering after he just shined his tires up, and we kinda got a little squirrely until the stuff had rubbed off.. but if ur getting them just for that road racer look (which is not too smart since the treadwear is shitty) then go for it..shine em up..

actually now matter what tires will turn brown and dry out eventually. Rubber is a natural product, anything like that will dry out eventually, most tires are just used before that can ever happen.
