Setup:

b18c1 built and tuned for 8 psi low 15 psi high

S300 w/o vtec vtec wired through relay
greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller

problem: when I start to enter boost my check engine light will come on and my car goes into limp mode. I am trying to trouble shoot but dont know weather its the s300 or the greddy profec.

Anybody else have this problem and how can I get rid of this.... I am new to the s300 and the forced induction world so any help would be much aprreciated

 

Do you have an aftermarket MAP sensor? The stock Honda sensor can't read over 10psi.

 

yesssir you need a new map sensor ... hondata,omni GM or whatever .. anything that reads more than a 1bar map

 

nah i bought a new map from hondata

 

Did you pull the code when the CEL came on and see what code was thrown? That would definitely lead you in the right direction.

 

Did u tell the S300 u was using the new map?

 

the tuner should of like i said he tuned it and then when I brought it home it started doing this.....yet we had the vtec hoooked up to a push button to eliminate troubleshooting. without the pushbutton no vtec but i hooked up a relay so that should be good I havent been able to start the car because of the horrible weather I just cleaned everything up and found a loose VAC line coming off the turbo to the wastegate Im hoping that it and will solve my problems if not Ill be back with more bad news
