Does anyone have a test pipe on from testpipes.com on their car who also happen to have an aftermarket exhaust (specifically a Thermal axel back). I want to know if you felt any gains and also if they car sounds louder. Did the tone of the exhaust change. If so, how? Thanks!

I just put a testpipe on my car. Though it is NOT from testpipes.com, and I DO NOT have an aftermarket exhaust system, I do feel much more low end power, and more response when i give little throttle.

P.S. And after taking out the resonator, that nice little raspy sound appears.

Where did you get your test pipe from and how much did it cost you? Is the raspy sound a deep tone or does it sound all ricey? Did your CEL come on when you installed it? Thanks!

 

I have a custom Godspeed test-pipe with a 2.25 flange mated to a stock USDM header with a 5 Zigen Fireball axle-back. It flows pretty nice, gave me 3-5 whp and throws no check engine codes (11 months with pipe installed) I recently wrapped my secondary o2 sensor with aluminum foil then clamped it with some wire.

That seems to work as well cuz the piece of cat that orginally came in the pipe broke a while ago and it gave me a "catalyst below threshold" code for a day or two. Oh and as far as sound goes my car sounds all N1. Like some nasty sounding buzzsaw civic you'll see in a best motoring video or something. It's not loud at cruise but step on the gas and it shrieks into VTEC. Car feels really nice.

It gets louder and it also gets stinkier, but yet you get mo power I love the farting noises hehe

 

ooooohhhhh me me i got one with a apex n1 louder than shiat with a silencer.....feel power what power???? dosent give that much gains i dont think.

 

LOOK ON MY SIG!!! It saids it all. Either get custom from local shop or go with either God's or I recommend Dave's. Thats the one i use.
